I am Silvana Byrne, a Chartered Psychologist specializing in Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Central to my practice is the principle of embracing and respecting cultural and neurodiversity. In my welcoming space, clients from various backgrounds are encouraged to seek therapy, regardless of their nationality, race, or religion.
Having been born in Uruguay and raised in Brazil, I relocated to Ireland in 2008. It was in Dublin where I reestablished my private practice, gaining accreditation from the Psychological Society of Ireland in 2010. My services cater to a diverse clientele, providing therapy sessions in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. As an Intercultural Psychotherapy Specialist, I have the privilege of working with immigrants from over 15 countries, aiding them in adjusting to life in Ireland and enhancing their well-being.
In my pursuit of advanced psychological techniques, I specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I studied at Trinity College Dublin. CBT, an evidence-based therapy, emphasizes altering thought patterns and behaviors to improve emotional health. This collaborative approach involves clients actively, encouraging them to engage in therapeutic tasks both during and between sessions.
Addressing personal challenges through therapy is a significant undertaking. As a dedicated psychologist, I am committed to supporting my clients in this journey. Witnessing the positive transformations in individuals as they progress through therapy is not only rewarding but also underscores the impact of this work. My practice focuses on assisting individuals in their personal development and growth.
